Career Day at Peirce is rapidly approaching and we need YOU in order for this to be an awesome educational experience for our students. Whether you are a nurse, mechanic, personal trainer, engineer, dancer, teacher, attorney, custodian or business owner...
Whatever you do, we need you!
We are looking for a WIDE variety of men and women, willing to spend a memorable morning, speaking with our Middle School students about their careers. Many of our students are largely unaware of the boundless career opportunities available to them! This is a fantastic way to provide them with first hand knowledge of various career paths and great way for you to make an impact on our students’ future.
To give you some idea of what this event looks like, on CAREER DAY, students in our Middle Years Programme (grades 6-8) attend 4 separate one-hour presentations given by our guest speakers. These presentations take place in the middle school classrooms, and are given to groups of no more than 30 students at a time. This is the format we follow for the 1 hour presentations:
When possible, we group our guest speakers by career field to broaden students' understanding and provide a more enriching experience. Here are some additional guidelines to help you plan your presentation.
Below is the schedule for Career Day. Guest Speakers can sign up to give 1, 2, 3, or 4 one hour presentations
Session 1: 8:10-9:10 AM
Session 2: 9:10-10:10 AM
Session 3: 10:10-11:10 AM
Session 4: 11:10-12:10 PM
Lunch: 12:10-1:00 PM

Parents who are unable to attend either of these two sessions on this day are asked to come to the main office any morning after April 18th to receive the report card. It is also highly encouraged that an alternate conference be scheduled between the parent and teacher.
All students will participate in a student-led conferences. Student Led Conferences are designed so that conversations are focused on student growth, successes and goals. In order for this day to run smoothly, you will have the following responsibilities:
