DePaul Offers Free Summer Camp Program, Inspiring STEM for Girls in Grades 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Grade
DePaul University’s College of Education is excited to offer a free summer camp program, inspiring STEM (inSTEM) for girls in grades 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th. The program is funded by Friends of inSTEM and DFSS. inSTEM is a program aimed to help offer free STEM opportunities for young ladies especially in low-income CPS and private schools.
This year, we are extending the program to a three-week summer camp program.
inSTEM Summer Camp July 9th – 27th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Students will be introduced to solar power energy fields (6th grade), robotics construction (7th grade), computer programming phase 1 (8th grade) and advance computer programming phase 2 (9th grade). The program is designed around problem-based learning and stimulating discussion among the students. Students will demonstrate their knowledge by applying scientific inquiry skills aligned to Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core State Standards Mathematics.
