As the summer winds down and we begin the new school year, I wanted to take this time to recount the many successes of our fundraising work together last school year. As many of you know, Friends of Peirce is a parent-led 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to raising funds to broaden and enrich the educational experience of students at the Helen C. Peirce School of International Studies.
In the 2018-2019 school year, Friends of Peirce was able to bring our mission to life as we funded almost $100,000 worth of programming at Peirce School, including:
We are working with Principal Zaimi to finalize funding priorities for the coming school year and know that these priorities will continue to include the enrichment programming listed above. We are also excited about our new initiatives, including refillable water bottle stations throughout the school, a new floor in the dance room, and more.
Every family in our school is a member of Friends of Peirce! Whether you contribute through a donation of time or money, your support is equally important to our success. We are proud of the support we have received from the Peirce community and our sponsors – including the Hopleaf Bar and 88 Brand Partners/QNA Group – and hope that we can rely on your continued support over the coming school year.
We are currently planning for Harbor Night which is our annual parent fundraiser that will occur on October 4th. Please save the date! If you are willing to volunteer, please use this link to sign up.
At the Back to School Festival on Thursday, August 29, stop by our table to talk with Friends of Peirce and Parent Service Organization volunteers who can assist in answering questions you have regarding the parent experience at Peirce and how you can get involved. Learn about the important volunteering and fundraising work we do, including supporting Arts Partnerships, Technology Enhancements, and building community. We look forward to seeing you there!
