BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
In addition to before and after school care provided by the YMCA, we offer many opportunities for students to participate in after school enrichment programs. Some programs are fee-based and some are free.
After-School All-Stars (ASAS)
Helen C. Peirce School of International Studies offers its students many opportunities to participate in a myriad of after school enrichment programs each year. We are proud of the dedication and creativity of Peirce teachers who teach many of the classes that students participate in throughout the year. ASAS typically begins in late October and runs through the end of March.
Peirce has been able to bring programs from our community into our school to provide fee-based after school programs. These programs require enrollment with each organization. Please contact individual organizations for more information or to enroll your student in a program.
YMCA Before and After School Care
Peirce partners with the Lakeview YMCA to offer before and after school care for students in Kindergarten through 8th grades. Programs are run at Peirce School but organized and run by the YMCA.
Before care runs from 7:00-8:00 am and after care runs from 3:00 - 6:00 pm.

Design Dance After School Programs give students an active, creative and engaging dance class during the school day or right after school. Each program encourages students to express themselves in a fun and nurturing environment while they learn to work together, set goals, and build confidence.

Mission Propelle: Girl Power Hour
Mission Propelle (formerly Smarty Pants Yoga) empowers elementary-aged girls to discover who they are, what they believe, and how to advocate for themselves through a combination of yoga, reading, and mentoring. In each one-hour class, girls develop mindfulness and self-confidence as they practice yoga, and problem solving by reading original storybooks starring a female protagonist.
Mission Propelle at Peirce runs every Friday from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. beginning 10/7/2016 and ending 12/23/2016 (no class 11/4, 11/11, 11/25). Registration has closed for the current session. Check back soon for winter dates!
