BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

In addition to before and after school care provided by the YMCA, we offer many opportunities for students to participate in after school enrichment programs. Some programs are fee-based and some are free.

Peirce After School Programs will begin on Monday, October 3rd, each class has a different end date.  All classes will run from 3:00 - 4:00pm unless otherwise indicated.  Due to limited offerings, we ask that students only sign up for classes that they are able to attend weekly. This form is to express interest only, we will send a follow up email the week of September 26th to confirm acceptance along with permission slips to attend.   A lottery process will be used for classes who have more students interested than available.  Please know that we are looking to add in additional programs as we have staff available to support.

free programming

Peirce has been able to run school based programs and programs from outside organizations at no cost to families.

iCook & iSteam
iCook is a fun hands-on after-school cooking program for children at elementary and middle schools.  We are teaching kids how to make and love healthy dishes one school at a time. We teach culinary skills, recipe reading, nutritional value, and we cultivate an environment where diversity is celebrated through cultural food awareness.

iSTEAM is a fun hands-on after school program that brings Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics education to elementary-age students.  We offer learning through hands-on, project-based activities that allow students to solve real-world problems through out-of-the-box thinking and develop the skills that are necessary to excel in the technologically-advanced world.
